  1. I've gotten lazy about making new articles. I've spent a lot of my internet time lately researching my insurance plans at work and looking up different boot and sock combos. No more sore toes for me this winter! :P I research the most random things sometimes. :P

I haven't looked into good boots for walking because I sit at a cubicle all day. :P But for walking in the snow/hunting/shoveling, I went with Men's LaCrosse classic Burly boots with thick red head wool socks or thorlos wool padded socks.. and then I got a crap pair of boots to wear for shopping / going to work.. with these thick ass socks, my toes should be good now. :D

I use mostly wolverine boots for work because they have a nice steel toe in case a heavy box of can good, or a crate of milk lands on my foot. I've bought wolverine socks before, they're pretty expensive, but they lasted a good year or two before the heels wore out on them. I'm on my feet 8-10 hours a day constantly walking 40 then 50 now hours a week. It does a number on socks.

I dont like thick socks however, I hate when my toes are crammed or constrained from free movement. :P Most of my haines socks have lasted 3-4 years so far.
