I noticed Fairy Tail on netflix now has 48 episodes, so I checked out the last couple to see a major fight scene. Good fight.. but not the best VAs and its only in stereo. My fansubs have surround sound. Damn netflix going cheap on the audio.

I read that they don't decide all that, they just pay a price and get sent whatever. They really need to crack down on Quality. Chobits is a lot older than some of the other anime they offer and it plays in HD, while Blood+ isnt even full screen. Apparently its more frequent in regular movies where its the clipped for TV version rather than the widescreen theatrical version.

They took a lot of heat for it being accused of cropping the films themselves, but if what they said is true, thats still pretty lazy of them.

I didn't know that. Interesting. The other thing I noticed about Fairy Tail is that my fansubs are a better quality. Sure its widescreen on netflix, but it doesn't actually look HD to me compared to what I've previously watched. btw, I recommend watching the series now that they have 48 eps on there.. the first 14 are kinda sailor moon battling with repeated animation attacks, but after that the fights are much much better.
