  1. I started Ratchet and Clank on PS4 last week. That game felt so fun. Meanwhile I gave up on metal gear solid V phantom pain. It was too repetitive for me. -_-; I'm watching TetraNinja's play through now on youtube. I don't know who this guy is, but his videos are decent so far and his stealth gameplay is far superior to what I was able to accomplish.

Coming back to this topic seriously. Ratchet & Clank is a blast. I had a lot of fun playing it, but the final boss fight has your pet peeve where the mechanics are really different, and is much harder than the rest of the super casual game play. XD You'll have to tell me how it worked out for you. For me I just used the preorder weapon to demolish him. XD That thing was ultra OP.

MGSV looks fun in this guy's videos but man I sucked at it. But I found out why I sucked at it. Tetraninja didn't mention this in his videos but i noticed he crouch walked alot. The enemies range of detection drops when snake is in crouch or full prone. As long as you are crouched, Even in line of sight of the enemy they won't see you unless you are in a specific range of them which is basically the same range as the silencer pistol. I was trying to be too stealthy in the game and prone everywhere, find everyone, Fulton out a bunch of ppl and then I'd start walking to a goal, get spotted, screw up my bullet time moment and miss a head shot, have 10 more enemies spawn in and screw up everything I've done. Eh.. I could start the game back up and crouch walk everywhere and get a completely new feel for the game but I think I'll pass on it now and finish the series of videos instead.

I thought about resuming but just doing side ops annoyed me because the bases and locations were re-used constantly. For an open world game all the missions go back to the exact same locations and all the massive amount of land on the maps are wasted with endless terrain that gives a false sense of exploration and does nothing but artificially lengthen the game. Every helicopter drop off location is figurativly miles away from the mission goal and makes traveling around time consuming and boring.  For the first time ever I'm having more enjoyment watching someone play a game than me actually playing it myself. XD
