You know whats more disturbing then seeing the kid get tased, is that fact that no one tried to help him not even Kerry who continued to answer the kids question as he was getting tased in a calm voice as if nothing was happening. In staid people where laughed, giggling, and video taped it.

We are a world of watchers now. The minority of people that want to actually take action are treated as terrorists or harmful to the people around them and are arrested and or tased for it. We are the digital age. When something we don't like is being done, in staid of going out and protesting with signs and words we jump on our computer and blog or vlog about it.....and we all wonder why nothing is being done. It's because no one wants to get off their ass and do anything. Our freedom is slowly being taken away by the very people that have sworn to keep us free.

Look up what the Patriot act is and the Real ID (national ID). Congress has already for fitted our freedom and we didn't even have a say in it.

Everything I did yesterday I could've done any other day.

With the exception of this... how much of a sheep does a person have to be to be cought dead in an "American" T-Shirt? Yes what (very little) freedom we left is a good thing. But the people wearing this crap are the poorest most screwed over saps I can see.

thank you for saying all that!

I myself try to be a doer and not just a watcher. I have boycott Exxon for years, I email my elected reps the leaders of other nations and corp officials ALLLLL the time. I try to buy locally grown food and products made in America. This country is about to splash down into the toilet and when it does I won't be emailing I'll be shooting mutherfuckers that label me a dissident or homegrown terrorist because I'm the real patriot! :faint:

the title for this on youtube is

IF YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY, WATCH THIS!

You can thank the age of "political correctness" as the origin of what has become of society. Say anything that's true in a frank and realistic manner, without the candy coating, beating around the bush, bullshit... You're labeled a racist, bigot, hypocrite, sexist, fascist, nazi, commie, close minded, leftist, right wing extremist.

We ourselves are endangering our own freedom just as much as we think it is being taken away from us. Its a world of trying to make things happen without any sacrifice, because it seems the popular view is that if "bad things" happen then it isn't worth archiving the goal, in fact its just plane wrong.

Arg! Bringing up Lorana Bobbet? wtf.... The media is a tool and I mean that in every sense of the word. :meh:

So what do you think it will take to educate the masses of sheeple? What will it take before enough people realize this isn't my America and change happens?

When its too late and everything is fucked.

No its not American's America anymore, its everyone else's America. Until we stop catering to the minority (In whatever area it may be) because we are offending them, nothing will be fixed. What ever happened to "too fucking bad"? Last time I checked the majority is what counted because it had the most people. They can have their opinion, but thats all they should beable to have. We all may not like it, but oh well thats what the general consensus is. If the losing side doesn't like it, then they are free to get the hell out... or in some cases they need to get the hell out anyways because they don't have a membership.

Can you sympathize with them? Sure, just don't give them anything.

seriously fucked up. Israel, Halliburton, the fed bank and the international bankers/big oil control this country.

The poor and middle class are the majority and we're still taking it in the ass because we dont want to be dissidents or they're sheeple.

We're approaching too late at warp speed. I for one am willing to shoot a motherfucker or 2 or 10 or 100000000 to make my country great again. -_-; Can I start with GW?

People just don't want to put any effort into it. We're all use to the safety of our own house and our false sense of freedom that we forget that in a blink of an eye we could turn into China or North Korea due to some president telling congress they have 10 mins to read over an important 100+ page bill (ex. patriot act). Did anyone actually read the bill or have time to? No.

People have become watchers. The doers are the minority now and are punished for it because there's not enough of them.

American Society should be held accountable for mistakes that the government makes. With all of the money and resources floating around in this country, we should be held accountable for some things (voting, protesting, writing our Congress people). Take the 2000 election for instance. Most of America blames Nader for spoiling the election and handing over the presidency to George Bush. These pissed off Democrats also wholeheartedly claim that Nader is was a major contributor to the war in Iraq? Why? Because, as they claim, Gore wouldn't have started a war with Iraq. There is absolutely no evidence to back that up. It's just speculation. It is not Nader's fault that Gore lost. Gore lost because 1) disenfranchisement of black voters in Florida and 2) many liberal democrats and undecideds just plain didn't like him. That's Gore's fault, the fault of his supporters and campaign, and the fault of the voters.

I believe that political correctness has it's place. Such as in references to history. History is always being changed and we should try our best to stay current and accurate. For example, we now know that Christopher Colombus did not discover America, was possibly Jewish, was a total greedy, racist dick-weed that was in debt up to his eye balls. It would be inaccurate to say otherwise. It would be offensive, politically incorrect, and racist to say that Natives were a primitive people and Colombus was just observing how dumb (and fit) they were when he wrote that they would "make good slaves." He took advantage of their differences, like many men after him.

Do I say mailPERSON instead of mailMAN, yes. Do I say Police Officer instead of policeMAN, you bet your ass I do. I just like to be accurate, I don't really consider semantics like that an annoyance. I'm on the fence about Affirmative Action. I want to most qualified candidate to get the job, but I also think there are things may only be considered due to Affirmative Action. Things aren't black and white, nor should they be.

I believe that we shouldn't tax Native American casinos because that money (supposedly) goes to Native American governments. Our nation does not have the right to tax government money of a sovereign nation. Even if the casinos are corrupt, it isn't our problem. Their governments need to step up. But with such poor, unhappy citizens with no power, why would Native Americans want to vote? Nothing changes much for them. They do not have the resources that we have. I believe that the Red Cross needs to step up and try to get donations for them as well as offshore nations. Their living conditions are so bad, it's awful.

Anyway, I agree on what was said about this generation being in "stand by." So to speak.

Even the slightest amount of digging will reveal the history of electoral theft. Al Gore did win the last election, governor Bush of Fla took care of it for his bro though. As has happened many times the democrat who won the election conceded under the pretense it was better to have a united country. pffffft what crap.

Well I do believe that Al Gore won the election over Bush. Desenfrichisement of black voters, fucked up chad from the elderly and vision impared, corrupt hand counts, weak democrats not willing to fight the Republicans hard, shady Republican antics, the fight over intent to vote (impression in punch card). . .the list goes on and on. However, I do believe that the Democrats look to Nader as a scape goat for why Gore did not walk away President. They bad mouth and point the finger when they really should be looking at themselves in the mirror (and of course be angry with the Republicans for their shady tactics. Katherine Harris, especially.). But instead, some Democrats would rather blame the third party candidate.

Funny, I thought that in America, we could be free to vote for whoever we want and that whoever wanted to be president could run as long as they're US born and 35 years old. -_-;

Its not just about Republicans using bad tactics. Both sides have been doing it for years. So when people start pointing fingers and bad mouthing different party's it only makes things worse or escalate.

Lady, I voted for Paul before I an plan to write him in like you. He's the only one against the National ID and Patriot act, two things that should have never been passed and where forced onto congress.

I was speaking in terms of the 2000 election, but in general I couldn't agree with you more. I'm tired of party on party crime. . .especially when both of the primary parties are more alike than they let on.

I think I understand why Mathias started a new thread on this. Only one person actually said Happy Independence Day. Everyone else went off on how messed up this country is.

Happy July 4th and I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Different strokes for different folks. People express their patriotism differently. Some people wave a flag, some people constantly bitch at their elected officials about the state of the union. Some people even took the time to watch the videos and read what other Americans posted in this thread. Everybody here loves America.

I was on the River Line train where a couple of drunks were fighting cussing spitting hitting each other and the cops had to come over, at the time of the fireworks ^_^
