Independence Day: Resurgence - Trailer 2

Recommended Posts

As much as I loved the first one I'm skeptical about this one. For one they waited to long to make it (it would of been better had they made it a few years after the originals release) and I've pretty much lost interest in this franchise. I'll still see it though because these trailers look fantastic and it looks to be a rather action packed movie. Who knows, maybe I'll love it even more knowing Will Smith isn't in it (he's a good actor but some of the parts he's been cast for don't fit his acting style).

I remember watching the first Independence Day and afterwards I never thought there would be a sequel. I thought it was a great standalone movie. If anything I assumed it would get rebooted all these years later instead of actually getting a sequel. I'll definitely watch it because its scifi and action packed. But it could be crappy and only on par with other big cgi action flicks like San Andreas or 2012 that are only worth watching once.

I watched this... don't go into it looking for any epic story. Its pretty much a rehash filled with nostalgic call backs. David's dad's part could have been completely left out. However it was packed with a shit ton of action, so it was still a very enjoyable watch for me.

David's dad's part was ridiculous. But what was more ridiculous was the ending.

Spoiler

The queen dies so all the aliens are like.. "Welp, thats it for us guys. Time for us to leave and regroup even though we are literally holding your planet with a massive ship and already caused irreparable damage to the entire surface of the planet and maybe even screwed up your orbit with the mass of our giant ship."

lol. It was a fun movie tho.

It was a fun movie, they didn't stay true to the games at all with most of the plot coming from the fourth game but overall it was good special effects and kept a good pace with plenty of action. Although it did feel toned down with gun fights considering the amount of shooting takes place in the games. I'm guessing they did that to keep the rating family friendly. Tom Holland still looked way too young for the role imo.

Very interesting. Spider-man, Doctor Strange and the multiverse. This should be a fun movie.

I wasn't that interested in this movie because its based in the past, but now that I've been sucked into Battlefield 1, this movie looks amazing. I know DICE likes to put easter eggs in their games so I wonder if we'll see an amazon warrior reference somewhere in a future dlc. On a side note, I thought we had a Wonder Woman topic already for the teaser trailer, but I didn't see one.

Awesome movie. I watched it a couple days ago. One of the best movies of 2020 for me. Very fun, energetic, great CGI and the monsters were all pretty damn cool and unique.

The Disney princess part at the end is great. I loved the first movie.
