The Walking Dead Season 4 Trailer

Recommended Posts

Well, here it is! The unveiling of Season 4 which will premier Oct. 13th! It looks pretty freakin' amazing!.

It looks like they are using elements skipped over in the first part of season 3 from the graphic novel since Tyreese shows up much later in the TV series, while combining it with what has been going on in the graphic novel after the prison. Interestingly enough, there is no sign of the Governor... I expect him to show up at the mid season finale after this mystery killer is found out, and conclude the season with a final resolution. Now that I see how close they are to passing the graphic novel. I understand why they've kept the Governor around. If they proceeded, they'd only have about 2 more seasons of source material.

Anyways... I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

Daryl has become so popular that if he dies, It wont be until a span of the final 4-5 episodes of the series finale. I don't think they'll chance a ratings drop. :P

If I had to call it, I'd say Sasha dies, Hershel, Beth, and Judith die in the season finale, and Glen dies next season.

Over the course of the trailer I noticed that Tyrese's eye got bruised up pretty bad. Maybe he has an enemy.. and then you see him surrounded by walkers by that car.. Things don't look too good for him.

His eye, and ricks right hand (hes shooting with his left in the trailer because his right is bandaged up, relates to a certain part of the graphic novel. I don't think Tyrese is the enemy.

Graphic Novel Spoilers

In the graphic novel Tyrese is accompanied by his daughter and her bf, after they attempt a double suicide in the prison after making love, the bf survives and Tyrese beats him to death. Rick keeps this a secret from everyone as he was the only other person to witness what happened. Rick and Tyrese become very close friends, and at the time Tyrese is dating Carol. Machonne eventually moves in on Tyrese causing him to cheat on Carol, and Carol goes nuts and lets a Walker kill her. Rick blames him for the death of Carol, and they get in a massive brawl in which Rick breaks his hand really bad, and they become distant from each other over this animosity.

Also in the graphic novel, Hershel has Maggie and 2 different daughters, Beth is not a character. These two daughters are brutally murdered by one of the prison inmates who were not in the TV series, Axel was the only inmate that was in both, the other 3 were different. I think this person is responsible for the prison cell attacks and I believe this sicko from woodbury and will murder Tyrese's sister Sasha, which leads up to this Brawl that takes place in the comic.

The car scene is most likely a tribute to the prison gym scene in the comic where the walkers swarm in from the tombs and surround Tyrese, he gets locked in and left for dead after everyone else was able to escape, they came back a day later only to find the walkers eliminated and Tyrese still alive covered in blood and exhausted.

The Walking Dead Season 4 Sneak Peek:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUvpFAYGoWI

Its a commercial for Low Winter Sun for the first half, then a rather pointless Sneak Peek of TWD showing Michonne dismounting her new horse and having some difficulties with a couple walkers. The new season premieres Sunday, October 13th.

Check out this short featurette of TWD graphic novel creator Robert Kirkman giving a tour of Season 4's prison. Fans of the graphic novel will recognize possible aspects of parts that were seemingly skipped over before encountering the Governor.

Good insight into season 4 by the cast and crew. I'm really wondering what they found in the ground and were digging up.

I'm guessing this season will focus completely on the prison. Probably no exploring.. but if this season will be more focused on the zombies, I wonder how the governor will fit into it.

Saw their panel at Comic Con, they're good chaps with a good sense of humor. The first episode was ... slow and I get a sense of them milking it.

I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.

Thats the one thing I hope they don't do. If they have a repeat of the slowness of season 2, they'll start to loose me.

The season finale just ended this past monday. I started this series and gave it a couple eps. I almost dropped it, but by the third ep shit started going down and I got sucked into the plot. This was a surprisingly great series with excellent acting. Its so refreshing to see a 1 off series like this. I don't think there is going to be a season 2 and if there is it would probably ruin the experience. This played out like an anime in a sense. It started and finished the entire plot. There was no filler episodes and everything tied in together. I hope this inspires AMC to make more stand alone short series. Hell, I wish more of america tv would follow this direction instead of endless reality shows or drawing out a series so long that it gets canceled without a finale. This show proves its possible for US tv to actually give us a story in a complete season. Well done AMC.  I can only compare this to Stephen King mini series, except better. Now I wish all those old Stephen King mini series were actually given the full season treatment like this.

If you haven't played season 1 or 2, the trailer seems to be spoiler free and doesn't reference any of those events. WTF.. Jesus is in this!?

So Rick is now the top adviser, and basically the leader now. Dianne is just a puppet to keep everyone comfortable. Rick isn't taking no shit from these fools, and only holds back to keep mass hysteria from breaking out. While he is right, he's lost his damn mind. Morgan is going to be his outer conscience from now on I believe.

That canyon of walkers is by design I believe. I think the Wolves have been saving up on something big for Alexandria.... and when they saw Rick and company pulling them away, they acted at the end of the episode.

This episode featured Rick, Morgan, Abraham, Glen, Sasha, and Daryl mostly... there are some new players, most notably the black guy with the glasses, and the guy that tried to kill Glen. The cast is getting too big and there will be sure to be plenty of deaths to older characters to make room for newer ones. Carol is going to keep blending in unnoticed until some shit goes down. She's Rick's ace in the hole, and Morgan noticed it in a flashback. That was a key moment I believe.

After the next episode, It will be interesting to see how the town reacts to Rick... they'll probably fault him for someone else's sabotage if the cause isn't realized after the dust settles.

Seems like Rick takes charge and goes a bit cran on everyone with power. Talk about a 180 from his farming days at the prison.
