I see, I'll have to try quick scoping from now on. I was hip firing my shotgun most of the time. Maybe quickscoping will give me those one shot kills.

 

btw, try using a laser sight on bf3 with any gun. It drastically improves hip firing. SKS with laser sight and hip firing at medium to long range can be devastating to an opponent. Check out some aggressive recon bf3 videos on youtube. Even bolt action sniper rifles with a laser sight can be brutal in bf3.

Exactly. I would never use laser sights because it gives away position. So I wanted to see what the hell benefit a laser sight has. And its all about hip firing. If you are mostly lined up with a guy and have a laser sight on, you can get hit markers like in COD. If you ADS almost all laser sight benefit is negated unless you are running with iron sights, and even then its minimal. Its mostly noticeable when you are playing close quarters, TDM or a close combat map like metro rush. Try it out. You'll be surprised how deadly your hip firing is. Just make sure they are mostly in your crosshairs and you'll get some kills.

 

Once you get good at it, you'll get used to turning your laser sight off as you crouch and reload under cover, then turn laser sight back on and rush around a corner and slaughter ppl. XD

I just played Hardcore TDM... the only reason I don't like it is I cant wildly lob grenades since you can kill your own teammates... but the damage increase to all guns is wicked. One shot for the SWAT-556... I went 33-11 and somehow my team still lost because someone went 0-21... 0-21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

COD only allows 20 clips... I got most my kills in it. Im using the PDW-57

Now that I have Ghost permanently unlocked and supressors on many of my firearms. This game has become a lot more enjoyable. :P

If you like the M27, just way til you get the SCAR and the AN-94.

I just started using the M27, and after throwing the fore grip and fast mag on it, I'm pretty pleased. It definitely turns into a killing machine... Once I get FMJ's I'll probably ditch the fast mag, but I'll end up using primary gunfighter when I get extended mag so I can use all 3. I'm shying away from any optics... for some reason I tend to ball out with iron sights in Treyarch CODs. I hate being EMP grenaded and the dot goes down on my sight.

 

FYI, like I texted you yesterday the heat maps are in Elite, but I think the webpage elite is the best. I havent really checked the console app, but the webpage lets you view a animated layout of the map as you're kills progress during the match. Just go to a recent match and hit "View Heat Map"

New Features & Feature Improvements

  • Added support for Live Streaming in all Public Match playlists.
  • Added League Best from Season 1 to Player Card.
    • If you played in multiple series and/or multiple teams then your highest division and rank will be displayed.  The League Best will span all seasons.  If you finish with a higher division rank in Season 2 then your new League Best will be displayed after Season 2.
  • Added a Cumulative Daily Pool instead of a Weekly Pool in League Play. 200 Rank Points are added to a player’s pool every day. Points that are not used are rolled into the next day.
  • Added 2 new pages to the Combat Record (the Combat Summary and Medals).
  • Implemented sorting of Medals in the After Action Report.
  • Lowered HUD threshold for the "low health" overlay to increase player’s awareness of low health.
  • Added a “Go to Top” button for the League Leaderboard.

 

Issues Addressed

  • Matchmaking modified to never return games outside of player’s own continent, unless the Connection Type in Search Preferences is set to “Any”.
  • Addressed an issue where the UAV would not trigger if called in while aiming down sight.
  • Addressed an issue where the Master Demolition challenge did not unlock when the requirements were complete.
  • Addressed issue with the headshot sound not playing in final Killcams and Theater Demos.
  • Fixed an issue in League Play where “Career Wins” for a Series were not displayed during placement in the Lobby Career Overview.
  • Updated the After Action Report in League Play so that bonus points are not summed with the ladder points in points earned for the match. 
  • Removed the ability to make dual wield attachment combos in Elite Create a Class and addressed an issue where these classes were appearing as missing in game.
  • Corrected mode description message displayed on YouTube when Live Streaming  Public Match Core game modes.
  • Stocks on SMGs no longer allow a player to move faster while ADS than when moving normally.
  • Shotgun crosshairs will no longer turn red if an enemy is out of the shotgun’s maximum damage range.
  • Fixed an issue where bullets would not fire straight immediately after aiming down the sight while moving at the same time.
  • Improved turret tracking to eliminate false positives when checking line of sight.
  • Turrets now have smoother tracking when targeting players.
  • Improved bot pathing on multiple maps.
  • Current League Info is now getting updated properly in the Player Identity.
  • Manual sorting on League Teams removed as the results are now returned correctly.
  • Improved the Scoreboard to make friend Playercard information more accessible.
  • Addressed multiple UI issues.
  • Players can no longer earn credit towards a Prestige Equipment challenge through “friendly” flashbangs, concussions, and shock charges.
  • Fixed Select Fire weapons reverting back to their default fire method when using certain Scorestreaks and not calling them in.
  • Addressed an exploit where the game allowed access to the Custom Games Settings while believing the game was Public Matchmaking, allowing XP.

  • Score and points are no longer awarded if a player destroys their own turret in Hardcore FFA.

Gameplay Balancing

 

Scorestreaks:

  • Death Machine: 3 hit kill range increased.
  • Dragonfire: health increased, gun spread reduced.
  • AGR: ground speed increased, reduced machine gun close range damage.
  • Warthog: reduced missile delay.
  • Lodestar: reduced missile speed and AOE radius.
  • Swarm: drone re-spawn delay increased.

 

Perks:

  • Hard Wired: Players with hard wired are now completely unaffected by EMP grenades.

 

Equipment:

  • Trophy System: increased range.

 

SMGs:

  • All + Silencers: reduced range.

 

Assault Rifles:

  • All: reduced idle sway.
  • M27: reduced amount of bullets to headshot kill at all ranges, increased 4-hit kill range.
  • Type25: reduced amount of bullets to headshot kill at all ranges, slightly reduced maximum hip fire spread.
  • SCAR: Increased 3-hit kill range.  Maximum amount of bullets to kill is now 4.
  • SIG556: Penetration increased from medium to large, reduced burst delay, and maximum amount of bullets to kill is now 4.
  • MTAR: increased 3-hit kill range.
  • SMR: slight increase to damage so that 2 hit kills can still happen with minor penetration, headshot multiplier increased at long distance.
  • FAL OSW + Select Fire: increased recoil.
  • FAL OSW: increased hip spread.

 

LMGs:

  • All: ADS in and out time reduced.

 

Shotguns:

  • SRM1216: slightly increased short range damage.

 

Pistols:

  • Executioner: increased medium range damage.

I've seen that multiple assault shield thing once. Other than that I don't see many major differences that will affect game play. Looks like the FAL is getting a little nerfed with selective fire. The SCAR and MTAR getting more damage is nice. The Type 25 should've gotten increased damage.

The FAL is terrible with selective fire now. its one thing to nerf it, but to ruin it to where no one will use it is stupid. The SMR will be next, becasue its just like the fal was with selective fire it just has a smaller mag. I'm using that now.

Ive read something about it has to be in 1080i on your video settings for the console from some people. It has to be through an HDMI cable that's for certain. Its only happened to me once. Might want to google it, but once again thats the difference between XBL and PSonline when thinking about next gen ;)

I went 18-0 on meltdown with the SMR, but what do you know? Elite screws up and records me as 2-0, and the score board says everyone else is 1-1. Once I double prestige my SMR and finalize it with Primary Gun Fighter Suppressor/Select Fire/FMJ I don't think ill be looking back. I got a triple kill final kill cam as well on Overflow with it. Even with the foregrip the FAL jumps around too much now, but with the SMR's damage increase it makes it better than the FAL was anyways.

hmmm.. I'll change my video settings back to 1080 and try it again. I have a game called Worms Revolution that plays like absolute shit on the PS3, apparently if I have my video set to 720 it runs better. But after getting so frustrated with it, I bought the game on sale on steam to play on my laptop instead. I forgot to change my video setting back. Maybe thats whats screwing up my upload because its been hooked up with an hdmi. Maybe if COD ran its own fully dedicated servers, we wouldn't get upload errors or lag issues. -_-

I would rather pay an extra $10 for the game just so they would have dedicated servers. The map rotations suck whenever I play Kill Confirmed. I'm always stuck playing Slums, Plaza, Cargo and Standoff. I swear everyone quits out when its not one of these maps, them I'm stuck in the game lobby waiting for ppl to join until I get annoyed with waiting, quit back to the menu, go to join another game and instantly get placed right back in one of these 4 maps. -_-

Just wait until after the Revolution DLC gets taken off its own playlist. This is the COD community at its finest. They pay for these maps and then vote them down constantly when they hit the rotation. It pisses me off because you shouldn't F*CKING buy the maps if you don't what to play them. As much as I love Drone, it gets voted down a lot unless it goes up against Aftermath... and what do you know? the 1st lobby I get into today Drone beats out Hydro 5-1. I think it has mostly to do with these stupid so called "hard core" players worried about their K/D taking a hit because they don't know the new map.

Luckily Treyarch started the trend of putting the new maps in a temporary DLC play list back on Black Ops 1, so you can play what you just paid for without any douchebags voting them down to pay hijacked for the 3000th time.

As to the new gun, everyone is using it, and to be honest its not all that great. It's probably the weakest SMG of the line up because of its slow rate of fire... It fires slower than the SCAR. They tried to make a hybrid and failed. It has the range of an assault rifle, it reloads/ADS fast, and you can move as fast as holding an SMG, but the power is so lacking it's def not something I'm going to spend my time on. They'd be better off making a Hybrid of an Assault Rifle and LMG, sorta like the AUG-HBAR in MW2. Now that was a good weapon. It acted like an LMG, it had a magazine size between an LMG and AR, but reloaded like an AR.

The map rotation and not having a permanent mute all players option are the two most annoying things I have seen in this game. I don't even mind the lag issues and crazy hit markers so much. But the map rotations are pure shit. And because I have to back out of the game lobby I'm in and join back into it just to get into a game faster it always puts me back into a existing game on a map I just played with 5 kids talking on their headsets about some random thing that has nothing to do with the game. x_x
