Scott Roeder GUILTY: Killer Of Kansas Abortion Provider Convicted

WICHITA, Kan. — A jury took just 37 minutes Friday to convict an anti-abortion activist of murder for putting a gun to the head of abortion doctor George Tiller and pulling the trigger in the foyer of a church.

Attorneys for Scott Roeder had hoped to argue for a lesser conviction of voluntary manslaughter, based on the defendant's belief that the killing was justified to save the lives of unborn children. But the judge threw out that defense a day earlier, leaving the jurors to choose between a murder conviction or acquittal.

Roeder, 51, of Kansas City, Mo., admitted his actions on the witness stand. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

hope he dies in prison :glasses:

Eh murdering to stop those that perform a legal and medically overall safe service because the pope 20 some odd years ago deemed abortion to be murder confuses me. Ah well this is what happens when idiots get involved too much into politics or religion.

A female's right to choose in Kansas might shortly be blown away like dust in the wind. As reported by the Associated Press, Kansas state legislators unanimously approved new abortion regulations that might squash providers in the state out of business.Abortion protesters gathered outside a Wichita church Friday as a doctor who hopes to return abortion services to the city took part in a panel discussion sponsored by the National Organization for Women. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment can begin implementing the new regulations as early as Friday. The law takes effect Friday, and abortion providers that don't have a licenses by then won't be able to perform abortions under the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's new regulations. Many reactions and mostly, violent reactions were heard from the citizen of this state. A final version of those rules was given to providers just last week. I found this here: New Kansas abortion rules will usurp the right to choose
