Authentic Mexican Queso Cheese DIp

Ever go to your local Mexican restaurant and order that small bowl of liquid white cheese... ah Queso dip... pretty good stuff even if it is a $2 rip off... Ever wish you could have some at home to go with your tortilla chips? Ever waste you money on all those so called "queso dips" by tostitos or some Mexican sounding brand in your local grocer's deli? I've spend years melting cheeses, trying dips, and NOTHING could even come close to replicating what you can find at the restaurant. It was like some well kept golden secret that even big time chip manufactures were still trying to figure out with their sub-par imitations.

Well I have figured it out... scoring the internet, I came across a little recipe, it didn't look right, and I felt it was too simple to be it. I had tried everything else, so I was down to my last options on experimentation... but the end result was the holy grail. This my friends, is how you make 100% authentic restaurant queso dip.

Its 3 simple ingredients (with an optional 4th), No matter how much of it you make, you must always use exact the same amount of all 3. So the easiest way to do this is to make a 24oz bowl, because two of the 3 ingredients are commonly sold in 8oz containers.

Ingredient 1: Velveeta Queso Blanco

Ingredient 2: 8oz Sour Cream

Ingredient 3: 8oz of Cream Cheese

Preparation:

Step 1 - Take your block of Velveeta, and cut it at the 8oz line marked on its foil wrapper, then drop it in the bowl along with the entire contents of your sour cream and cream cheese tubs.

Step 2 - Put bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes, take out and stir, then place back in microwave and heat for 2 more minutes.

Step 3 - Stir mixture until it looks like its all the same consistency, microwave 30-40 more seconds if there are still chunks or solids and repeat the process.

Now you have yourself some Mexican cheese dip... don't believe me? Try it out and see for yourself...

Too boring? Add a can of rotel tomatoes for some kick.

Some recipes tell you to add chicken broth, flour, or pepper jack cheese... that's all crap... It may be good, but if you're looking to make exactly what you get at the restaurant, follow my directions and spread the joy.

This recipe can also be used with some shell pasta, add some ground beef, or even taco seasoned ground beef, and you have yourself one hell of a meal.

Awesome post. You need to post your own personal pictures to make me cum in my mouth, if that can work, I don't know how it'd work or what it'd taste like but I've read stories that it depends on what you eat and what ... ok sorry for digressing but to set the record straight I don't want to you-know-what in my own mouth, yuckidoos. Coming back to the point I was making, take pictures dude! Ok too much sugar, I'm outta here.

I saw a partial eclipse today from where I live. I didn't have the eclipse glasses since there wouldn't be much to see here. But Lady made a makeshift eclipse viewer with a box and some foil. It worked great and we could easily see the crescent shape of the moon over the sun. Even with 70-80% coverage here the light was only slightly dimmed for a while and colors looked a bit off. Other than that it was like any other day. I was half expecting the sky to darken more, but apparently 20%+ of the sun is still bright as f*ck.

RIP Jerry Lewis. I remember watching Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis movies when I was young. He made me laugh as a child.

I'm almost done with GARO: Crimson Moon. I'm pretty disappointed with it. Its no where near as good as GARO: The Animation was. The story is pretty meh, and they reduced the golden night to some sailor moon type format where he only gets to transform at the end of the episode and wins in 2-3 moves. It reminds me how Blood-C is inferior to Blood+ as they both take place in similarly unconnected time frames.

I just finished Drifters on Funimation. Its from the same people that made Hellsing. This was a better product IMO. I honestly don't get all the love for Hellsing as its ending is shit, and a lot of stuff is never resolved. The premise of Drifters is that legendary historical warriors/fighters/tacticians passed on to a different realm when they died and end up on the good or evil side of a new war. You have people like Rasputin, Anastasia, Joan of Arc, Sundance Kid, Butch Cassidy, and a lot of Japanese legends... most notably Oda Nobunaga. Whats strikingly controversial is that Jesus is pretty much an evil overlord, even though they cover his face and call him the "Black King" the fact that he has holes in his hands, and can heal, and produce food out of nothing makes me laugh when I looked it up and the wiki says "His identity is still a mystery". You can just listen to the stuff he says and know who it is. Anyways, the action is great, the gore is on the same level of Hellsing, and the story is really good. Season 2 should be coming out in the future.

I got an interesting email from Amazon about something called the Carnivore Club. It looks pretty neat, but damn It's too expensive for my comfort. I'll probably sign up for 1 month and cancel just to get a box. I've never been apart of any subscription box service before because I don't need random junk every month that I might or might not like. But I can eat this stuff, that all looks really delicious. If I could afford $55 a month for some snack meats, I'd do it. What caused me to post about this was the fact that it has two 1 star reviews written by angry vegans posting about how sick and disgusting it was, and how they are promoting cancer and cardiovascular disease.
I remember back in the day I always looked forward to Christmas because we use to get those boxes with all the cured meats and smoked cheeses in them. They're pretty hard to find now, at least in the quality that they were back then. Now you just get some basic summer sausage and Kraft tier cheese. The Carnivore Club reminds me of the old fancy ones minus the cheese.... hmmm I wonder if there is a cheese club?
