Omlette!

In one of those things that can chop vegetables for you, take 1/2 an onion, 1/2 a green chilli (not bell peppers, thin small green chillies) + a little cilantro. Mix it just for a bit because you don't want to make a puree out of it, just chop it a little fine is all. Take this mix in a bowl or vessel where you then add some salt + half a teaspoon of turmeric powder + a teaspoon of chilli powder (not chilly flakes, this is something you get at an Indian store) + 1/4 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste (again, you'd get this at an Indian store) + 1 egg. Mix this all up and if it looks a little dry, add another egg + up the quantity of the ingredients a bit. Take 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick frying pan and heat it a bit. Take a big serving spoon you'd have where you can scoop the mix you've made and pour it in the pan. Depending on the size of the omlette, add a little bit one at a time or make yourself bigger omlette's. Let this cook well and after about a minute, take something flat to help you turn it over. It should look dark brown and here's a screen shot of the omlette in the pan. I like mine done a little darker than this, and you can make yours based on whatever you prefer.

My parents visited me over the weekend. Had a great time.  I wish I lived in the same state as the rest of my family so I could see them all more often.

Finally got around to watching Black Mirror since, you know, I'm bored because I can't work (and as much as I try I just can't bring myself to play anything game wise outside of FFXIV and a little bit of Destiny (I'm stuck at 267 and have no urge to do the Exotic quests and I really don't want to level another character right now)).
Gotta say this is definitely one of my favorite shows now. Really love how they're stand alone episodes that have no interconnection with each other (well they seem to all take place in the same year and same world (based on little hints I picked up in various episodes) but they're completely separate stories of their own). Some of the episode are really fucked up (the last episode of season 3, while not fucked up, is pretty fucking dark and has given rise to a new fear for me (saying what it is will ruin it if you haven't seen it), still one of my favorite episodes though) and some are really well thought out and emotional (the San Junipero episode is really fucking good).
All around it's a great fucking series (better be it's British, yeah I have a thing for British television) and I highly recommend it. Figured I'd start Stranger Things this weekend since it sounds like I'll be out of work for another week (according to my surgeon's nurse when I talked to her on the phone, I'll find out more tomorrow) and be ready for when season 2 airs in Oct.

My mattress has been killing my back and sides for over a year now. I kept adjusting how I was sleeping, got a mattress pad, etc. Screw this thing. I bought a mattress in a box from walmart.com for cheap. $140. I thought about getting a memory foam one but I read that they trap heat too easily so I went with a Slumber 1 brand coil spring.
Sure as hell this mattress showed up in a box. It was vacummed sealed in a bag, folded and rolled up. When I broke that plastic seal it inflated so damn fast that it made a whistling noise thru the plastic bag as I was cutting it open. lol. It feels pretty comfortable so far but I have to let it air out for "full recovery" for 48 hours. I'd have rather gotten an expensive really nice beauty rest mattress or something else from a mattress store, but I'm tight on funds. This seems decent enough for now.

Well yesterday was fun. Had really bad abdominal pain and ended up in the ER only to find out I had acute appendicitis and had to have surgery (all in all spent 10 hours in the ER, got home at 4:30 this morning). Now I'm in pain and out of work for at least a week. At least I get Vicadin as my pain killer (whenever my mother pucks the prescription up, I can't drive for the next week so yea).
Guess it's time to get caught up on my anime and game backlogs.
