It looks cool, but it doesn't look like a Star Trek movie at all. If you had just put it up without a title, I wouldn't have known it was Star Trek. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

The 1st one was amazing. I'm really looking forward to this. There is nothing wrong with Star Trek having intense action outside of ship to ship battles. Everyting about the preface discription points to Khan. The ability to show Khan's true super human abilities can now be utilized, and hopefully his intelligence part stays intact.

It's just that all the previous ST movies, even the reboot, had a certian feel to it. I can't really describe it. The trailer for this doesn't have it. I'm not saying it's bad, and I'm totally willing to give it a chance, I'm just saying that I saw nothing in there that looked or felt like ST.

I agree with you on that. At first glance it did not appear at all like a star trek movie. I'm sure the full trailer will feel like it tho. I hope there is a ship battle somewhere in it.

Looks like a good action movie, but not so much a ST movie.

I would guess he is Khan, the vengence thing makes sense, The super strength / agi and the cunning intelligence. Anything but Khan would be out of place.

I did like the 1st film a lot. Just did not like the whole destroying Vulcan thing.

The new trailer has that same Star Trek feel that the first (reboot) movie did. I'm going to have to go watch this ... in ... IMAX. Frak the 3D.

Wow.. that trailer looks way better! Oh crap... the last couple seconds of it... was that a re-enacted scene from the original star trek 2 movie where Spock dies!?

That gave me chills.

I think it would be wise to have him come back all different gendered like a female Spock, all old and wrinkly. Let it be known that time travel, has it's down side too. Saving the galaxy doesn't always work.

The new trailer has a LOT of diving/ falling/ jumping/ whatevering compared to the first movie. Fast action.

Predictions on what the story's going to be? Dubird, looking to you for inside scoops.

True. Out of all the trailers and pictures I've seen, if it was Khan, it would have been a very different Khan and it would have probably pissed off quite a few fans.

If there is one thing I despise about anime across all genres, its the damn "recap X.5" episode. Nothing makes me cringe more when I load up my funi app only to see this week is a waste of time for one of the shows I watch. I was really irritated that FMP had one after just 4 episodes, and Legend of Galactic Heroes has one this week. Seriously, what a waste of effort and time. Even if I missed episodes, I'd rather go back and see the whole ep rather that get caught up on some clips from it mashed in with everything I've already seen.
On another note, My Hero Academia was freaking amazing this week. Any ep where All Might fights is seriously some of the best content of the series.
And then Steins;Gate 0 just gut punched us in the feels this week with Okabe shortly going back to an alpha world line... oh the feels. The emotional level of this series is brutal. It's been a while since I've felt this much empathy for a character.

When I watched Tokyo Ghoul season 1 and 2 a few years ago, I thought it was the most over hyped pile of shit I've ever seen. Apparently it didn't follow the manga at all. I've been watching season 3 just because its a simuldub, and while I find it more entertaining, it's so disjointed from the first two seasons, it doesn't make any sense as a whole. Apparently they somewhat decided to start following the manga after skipping a few arcs? Apparently they announced season 4 and it's going to skip more between 3 and 4? What a train wreck... They might as well start over.

You could definitely tell this was the last E3 for this generation of consoles. Super small showcases for everyone this year. Next year's E3 will be back to the ultra hype reels for Sony and Microsoft unveiling the next consoles followed with the games that are being made for them. It will be an off year for Battlefield next year, but the first COD will be by C studio Sledgehammer, since MW4 will be the last COD this gen.

Absolutely gutted and devastated to hear of Anthony Bourdain's death, turned an already shitty day into an extremely shitty day. I would of said something earlier but I had to come to terms and sort out my own thoughts on this (and of course get through a 10 hour work day).
The world truly is a bit darker and a lot less interesting today with his loss. His passion, gift for storytelling, humanity, and all around awesome attitude were what drew me in when I first started watching A Cook's Tour (his first show) so many years ago and what cemented my love for this man during the run of No Reservations. Sadly I never did get around to watching Parts Unknown or The Layover but I can only imagine they were as good as the other two. This man truly had a gift for opening his heart and mind to people and their culture as well as getting them to open up as well.
RIP Mr. Bourdain, not only have you opened my eyes to new things, given me countless hours of enjoyment, and been an all around awesome person you've also inspired my love for travel (that one day I will hopefully get to do) and my love for other cultures. You will truly be missed and my heart goes out to your daughter and family in this extremely tragic moment. I can only hope you've finally found the peace that so eluded you in life.
