Mad Max: Fury Road - First Look Trailer

Sledgstone

I have no idea what this movie is about and the trailer reveals nothing about the plot, nevertheless I am completely impressed.

I'm impressed that in the future everyone will still be driving muscle cars before the 1980s happened. I'll be seeing this movie based on the cars alone. Still I kind of doubt this will appeal to a younger generation because the cars don't reflect a more present day.

Screw the younger audience. I'm hyped for this movie. XD But I have a bad feeling that the movie won't do that good in the theaters because its got me thinking about the remade Judge Dredd. It wasn't a family movie or had a younger audience appeal either.

I don't care if it bombs as long as its as awesome as the trailer indicates. Dredd was really good IMO.... a masterpiece compared to the Stallone one. Mad Max has shoes to fill. From what I gather this isn't a reboot, it takes place after Beyond Thunderdome. Thats what I'm getting from looking it up.... If I'm wrong, they're gonna have to find the fountain of youth for Tina Turner eventually. XD

Judge Dredd remake was good.

This's made by the creator of the Max universe. It's exactly what he wanted. No compromise. If it sucks, it sucks.

You don't need to know the full movie gist in a trailer to find it interesting enough to go see it. Trailers people are used to seeing today are pretty bad and ignorant as a matter of fact to the whole concept of creating something that'll spark an interest to go see the full story by spending money and watching it on the big screen. As someone who frequents movie theaters and spends the money to watch movies at a theater, I find that level of ignorance displayed by trailer makers stupefying and appalling.

Take a book, read the back and check out the reviews. Does it tell you a synopsis? Does it give away under what circumstance the good and bad guy meet during the final fight and what they're fighting with or who has cuts on his/ her face already, etc. etc. We all know the answer to that ; )

The plot is super weak, and there is very little dialog... this movie is a 2 hour + chase scene with a shit ton of amazing action sequences done mostly with old school practical effects. Its a fun watch and is def an inspiration to old 80s action films.

Star Trek Discovery Season 2 was amazing. Significant improvement over season 1. Bringing in captain Pike, Spock and the Enterprise as well as tying the entire Discovery series into the timeline and canon of the original series was well done and extremely entertaining to watch. I wish they didn't f*ck up the klingons as much as they did in season 1, because aside from that Discovery is now a solid show that ranks up there with TNG and Voyager for me.

Finished Ultraman on Netflix, the story was good but it left too much unanswered... and the biggest travesty was the CGI. Holy cow it was wildly inconsistent and mostly all bad. The distance shots looked like some PS1 stuff, like they didnt know what shading was. They spent all the money on the final fight which was awesome, and then the last few minutes got really bad.

I need to buy a lawn tractor soon.. maybe this weekend. The last lawn tractor I owned was a piece of crap hand me down that nickel and dimed me to death until I got rid of it and got a decent push mower instead. But my yard now has just over an entire acre of just grass. No way in hell I can push mow that. I might get a Cub Cadet or John Deere tractor. I need to see what might be on sale. I had the lawn mowed at the end of last year right when we moved in and its $40 per mow. x_x

I never watched the original Fruit Basket because the description just sounded too silly. The premise of all anime is that at least one of the protagonists has a flaw. Luffy can't swim, Inuyasha turns human on the full moon, etc. I just generally dislike when a flaw is so overwhelming it's a massive inconvenience. BUT Since the simuldub started Friday I'll be watching the reboot. It seems to have a huge following and the first ep was quite good.

Watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse tonight and I have to say the movie was spectacular and definitely lived up to all the hype surrounding it. Probably one of my favorite superhero movies now and I fully understand why it won an Oscar.
Story was great from start to finish, though I really don't know what to think of the animation style it certainly worked in this movies favor (a little jarring at first but I was definitely starting to feel it toward the end), and while I'm not usually into the music used into the show I have to say the soundtrack is fucking awesome. Kinda wish I would of went to see this in the theater but that didn't really diminish my enjoyment of the movie.
Really hope we get another one like this (seems there is a sequel of sorts in the works and a few spin-offs as well) because it definitely deserves one. I also have to say the Spider-Man Noir is probably going down as my favorite Spider-Man.
