I'm definitely buying this game later this year. Exclusives are a good selling point too. I hope the visuals are top notch for PS4 and they don't dumb down the graphics to match up more with older gen limitations.

Its good to see some of the characters.. but it still doesn't show much of the campaign in the details. For a game thats going to take around 80 hours to fully complete, they seem pretty tight lipped about the plot.

Thats how I like it... it seems to have a lot of shades of grey... with all the characters, you probably choose which you will be on the good and bad side of. There seems to be a lot of different choices to make.

Well the achievements/trophies make it seem that this will have somewhat of a moral system in it (not the likes of Fable/TOR/etc) and these characters just seem to prove that point. Honestly I'm happy Ubisoft is keeping tight lipped about the campaign. It gets me more hyped for the game and I enjoy it more the less I know because I don't go into it knowing most of the story.

Its reminding me about how most movie trailers give away the main plot. We should all be pleasantly surprised and enjoy the game more this way. We already know the game is going to play great, I just hope the plot is rock solid. Because if people start playing and aliens attack within the first 5 minutes or its a rehash of any of the Saints Row or GTA games, people will probably raise hell online. XD

But what if its a rehash of SR2 or GTA4? (Minus GTA4s bad driving mechanics)

In SR2 the ultimate enemy was the corporation, Ultor. And 2 of the gang stories dealt with friends being killed.

In GTA4 it was someone from Niko's past. Though I'd imagine some if not most would either rage or laugh if someone would constantly call up the Player-Character.

I picked up my copy of watch dogs today and I think I might switch to digital only now. One of the two gamestop pre-order bonuses was printed on the reciept and the other is supposed to be emailed to me.. I was under the impression that one of the codes was supposed to be in the physical copy only, but I guess that isn't the case. Digital only might be the better choice now.

Ok.. I have to correct myself. Turns out the white hacker pack code was in the physical box. Once I opened the game box, and removed the insert I noticed the code was visible through the plastic, because the code was printed on the opposite side of the box art. The code I recieved on my receipt was for "Palace Pack" and "Palace Pack 2". The first is the palace pack dlc with missions and the second was the atm hacking boost. I guess I won't be getting an email at this point, which is fine. One thing that annoyed me is that the gamestop employee asked me if I wanted to buy the season pass for $19.99 because it was 25% off with the purchase of the game.. but online the season pass is already $19.99. No thanks buddy. When I feel like getting it, I'll drop the $20 when I feel like it.

Those are pc users, the game seems to run poorly on PC from what I've been reading... Apparently Ubi has a history of this with most of their games. I haven't had any issues. I turned the online aspects of the game off because I don't want to be bothered by trolls.

PC elitists. Their negative opinions are to be expected. It was a horrible first day for the PC version, u play servers were down which prevented everyone that bought it from being able to even load the game because they can't verify their purchase thru the company's copy right protection.

And of course its because its a console port instead of a game made for PC ported to console. XD LAWLZ *continues enjoying playing Watch Dogs on a console*

F'ing whiners, never happy unless it's completely optimized for PC gameplay. This is why I hate PC gamers (even though I play games on PC I don't whine about crap like this). Uplay was having problems all around, hell last night my game kept freezing up on PS4 because I was constantly losing connection to the Uplay server (PS4 was having trouble resolving the damn disconnect problems causing me to restart the game twice). Didn't get mad though, game is freaking fun as hell and rather amazing imo (from what I've played, not exactly that far. Too busy hacking peoples phones for money, fighting crime, and killing gang members).

I stick with my silenced Spec Ops 1911. I don't see the point of gun stores other than maybe you might need some ammo. I have a pretty massive arsenal already just picking up weapons off baddies I've taken down. Gang hideouts are probably the best way to get a lot of new guns. I pick off all the henchmen with my 1911 or exploding hacks and then take down the boss. I've got a few assault rifles. SVD sniper rifle, multiple pistols and SMGs, and two shotguns so far. I don't like going loud because the cops come so quickly... plus I'm playing as protector this time though. I haven't had to really use any of the assault rifles except for on crime convoy... I stand off the side of the road, fill the target's car full of lead, and speed off in a near by car. XD Surely those get more difficult later on.

I don't see the point in buying cars either when you can just steal them instantly adding them to your collection, or hacking them off pedestrians.

My first sloppy gang hideout attempt. I was still getting a feel for the game. lol

Good video, it emphasizes how you have to pay the game. Lure the enemies into an explosive and take them out. You had a great triple kill too. XD this game cannot be played like gta or saints row.. A couple bullets and you're dead. Stealth is definitely preferable in this game.

That was was pretty easy compared to another one I did. The boss was standing next to a getaway car, and would bolt at the first sign of trouble. None of his crew where carrying explosives so I had to shoot them all when they were out of his line of sight. The only thing I could do to them was send them fake text messages about their plane tickets being cancelled or their stock becoming worthless. XD

The funny thing is that on of the "tips" says to shoot at cops' arms and legs to receive less negative reputation, but when I tried to bust the knee caps of the boss with a sniper rifle he died. WTF.

Lmao! That rifle must have been shooting some high caliber rounds. You probably did enough damage that his leg should have exploded right off his body. XD I'm kind of glad they didn't put dismemberment and decapitation in the game. The amount of ppl that get exploded in this game would have turned it into a gore fest.

One of the White Palace missions is a bitch. I should have uploaded it as a tip. Long story short, once you get your hacked objective, run out the door in front of you and jump on the motorcyle to pursuit... swap to a car when you get a chance, don't go for a car at the mansion or the target will just escape before you even get out the drive way... If you came up with a better solution let me know.

Here's my first share factory compilation.

You're to nice to these criminals. :P I know it's better for reputation to take them down without killing them, but once they start shooting at me I either gun them down or run them over. XD

Although its also on the PS4, I purchased Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for the Switch recently because it's just been collecting dust. It was probably the better option anyways because the graphics look like something out of the N64/PS2 era with modern draw rates. Not a knock against it, as its quite charming... but the game looks like it belongs on the Switch rather than PS4. Everything about this game is so 1998. I've never played any of the Ys games before, but this one caught my eye for the old school hack and slash. It's very Dark Cloud-ish minus the world building. Sprinkle some old Zelda in there as well. The combat is relatively simple with 1 button main attack, and 4 special attacks that consist of holding R1 and pressing A B Y X. These use a SP meter that replenishes on kills. There are also dodge and block counters that give you a special speed combo ability. You have a party of 3, and characters that join where you can swap them out and swap between the three in combat. Each character has a assigned damage type (Slash, Precise, Bash). Having all 3 types helps weaken the right enemies susceptible to these plus you get a rare drop bonus... rather than the 1.1x bonus for having two of the same. Anyways, the story is campy but interesting, the dialogue is 90's cringeworthy, and its a lazy sprinkle of actual voice acting and text reading. The world is  large but a bunch of sectioned off instances that quickly load without a loading screen as you cross them. There are fast travel points but not in every sector, so it requires some old school memorizing where to go at times. As you get special gear, you'll find places that were inaccessible previously open up. I'm 20 hours in and I don't feel like I'm even half way through. So at $60, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth for a decent nostalgia kick. I bet this will be a free PS Plus game next year so when it comes up I highly recommend it without even finish it. I'll report back when I beat it with a proper review.

Its been quite the stressful couple weeks. Lady had her surgery and is having a very slow recovery process. My bank required specific repairs to the garage to approve the mortgage and instead of paying a massive price to a contractor me and my friend spent 2 days this last weekend busting our asses in 90 degree days with 90% humidity and full sun working on the garage. Thats all done and accepted now.. Yay. Getting into the final stretch here with the house. Hopefully I'll be moving by the end of the month. I might actually have free time this weekend... finally. *knocks on wood*

The first two eps of AoT season 3 are better than season 2 in its entirety.

Originally I wasn't going to say anything until I actually finished watching the series (which should be Monday or Tuesday night) but you were right DX, The Ancient Magus' bride is spectacular and I say this after only watching 15 episodes.
I have to say it's up there with Violet Evergarden for both visuals and story (and it's been awhile since I've seen a show that has completely drawn me in to the point that I sacrifice sleep just to watch another episode). I honestly didn't think the premise would suck me in this much but I'm glad it did (and both episodes with Nevin were extremely well done (I shed some manly tears they were so emotionally impacting)).
I honestly have to say this is probably going down as one of my favorites shows from the last few years (which isn't really hard considering my problems with the last few seasons), only taking second to the masterpiece that was Violet Evergarden. I can't recommend this show enough for those who want a story driven show focused on character development and world building (I'm just sad I only have 8 episodes and 3 OVA's left, really hope this gets another season once the manga gets further along).

This simuldub season is pretty meh compared to last. If it wasn't for the fact that MHA and out of all things; Black Clover was still running. I'd be hard pressed to keep up. Ep 1 of Overlord season 3 felt like a waste of time, but the second one made things pretty interesting. Angels of Death seems kind of bland so far. How not to Summon a Demon Lord is a typical fanservice trapped in a video game world show. Same goes for The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar. Lord of Vermilion feels like a better Tokyo Majin.. which isn't saying much. Hopefully it will be something better. Harukana Receive is bouncy bikini beach volley ball, but Haruka is a total best girl, so I'll shamelessly enjoy it. On the opposite end, I'll skip Free! because I'm not watching a bunch of dudes swim, and I'm already watching HR and Hanebado... an anime about freakin Badminton. With Dies Irae and AoT not staring until later in the month that leaves three unlikely contenders for a surprise best in season for me, that isn't Overlord or AoT which I already expect to be solid at worst.
Magical Girl Raising Project is apparently a dark ass violent series with cute moe magic girls. A total clash of genres. The first two eps only have brief hints at it so far, its mostly just cutesy. But if it turns out like I think it has the potential too. It should be pretty interesting.
Chio's School Road is a "school" anime thats about Chio's walk to school every day, instead of the actual school day. The absolute absurd happens apparently every time. The first three eps have been pretty hysterical so far. Its different, so I like it.
Island is a pretty big mystery to me as to what its suppose to be about. It has my interest to see how it unfolds. It can honestly go either way. I guess I'll be reviewing these at the end of the season and we'll see how my opinions have changed since this status update.
