Indeed. I've always wanted this style of a multiplayer game. I look forward to hands on coverage on the battle mechanics after game sites get hands on tomorrow. It looks like it has stances, and parry mechanics.

For Honor's Story Campaign Cinematic reminds me of ESO's PVP Cinematic.

....

On the bright side For Honor looks like it has offline Single Player.

I agree, I thought the video was labeled wrong. It really felt like a pvp trailer.

The campaign walkthrough looks interesting, but the combat system seems a bit off to me. I guess I'm too used to smashing a couple buttons and watching enemies die. XD

The fighting style in For Honor reminds me of an old game I used to play "Die by the Sword". Except in Die by the Sword your weapon or shield literally free floats and follows the exact path of your mouse. So instead of changing stance to left, right or up like in for honor, you literally just attack from left or right or whatever angle you want. The downside to it is that it looks stupid as hell. XD But in For Honor it looks like their fighting system might have been a bit inspired by DbtS but updated in such a way that it looks much more plausible. The big thing that DbtS's combat did with that free floating sword, was allow you to easily target specific limbs. I'd chop enemies legs off left and right and damn if felt good to lob off an enemy's leg, pick it up and beat them to death with it while they hobbled around trying to kill me. XD

Theres not many good vids of that old game, but I found a speed run of it in decent quality:

Well I'm officially sold. The combat looks like it took cues from the Dynasty Warriors games (main combat) and I love the one-on-one fighting system. Definitely on my to buy list for next year.

I'm really pumped for this game... It looks to me you can hack and slash through all the regulars and only the more serious enemies you have to melee. The guy that played it live was worse than the one that did this demo. The attack tells are generous enough to move your guard into the right spot... or maybe thats just because I'm use to GW2 boss tells. XD

I was really sold on the MP, but now this campaign looks great, being able to use the environment and what not. It's co-op too which adds to the fun.

YouTube bypasses Adblock Plus now. Ads are more annoying on PC than on the phone. I always wondered what those yellow lines were in the play timeline, they pop banners on the video at those times.

My parents visited me over the weekend. Had a great time.  I wish I lived in the same state as the rest of my family so I could see them all more often.

Finally got around to watching Black Mirror since, you know, I'm bored because I can't work (and as much as I try I just can't bring myself to play anything game wise outside of FFXIV and a little bit of Destiny (I'm stuck at 267 and have no urge to do the Exotic quests and I really don't want to level another character right now)).
Gotta say this is definitely one of my favorite shows now. Really love how they're stand alone episodes that have no interconnection with each other (well they seem to all take place in the same year and same world (based on little hints I picked up in various episodes) but they're completely separate stories of their own). Some of the episode are really fucked up (the last episode of season 3, while not fucked up, is pretty fucking dark and has given rise to a new fear for me (saying what it is will ruin it if you haven't seen it), still one of my favorite episodes though) and some are really well thought out and emotional (the San Junipero episode is really fucking good).
All around it's a great fucking series (better be it's British, yeah I have a thing for British television) and I highly recommend it. Figured I'd start Stranger Things this weekend since it sounds like I'll be out of work for another week (according to my surgeon's nurse when I talked to her on the phone, I'll find out more tomorrow) and be ready for when season 2 airs in Oct.

My mattress has been killing my back and sides for over a year now. I kept adjusting how I was sleeping, got a mattress pad, etc. Screw this thing. I bought a mattress in a box from walmart.com for cheap. $140. I thought about getting a memory foam one but I read that they trap heat too easily so I went with a Slumber 1 brand coil spring.
Sure as hell this mattress showed up in a box. It was vacummed sealed in a bag, folded and rolled up. When I broke that plastic seal it inflated so damn fast that it made a whistling noise thru the plastic bag as I was cutting it open. lol. It feels pretty comfortable so far but I have to let it air out for "full recovery" for 48 hours. I'd have rather gotten an expensive really nice beauty rest mattress or something else from a mattress store, but I'm tight on funds. This seems decent enough for now.
