Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition on PS4

Sledgstone

These two clips show off Blizzard's PS4 version of Diablo III and how they improved the controller interface and the new features made just for the consoles.

I like the nemisis and apprentice features.

Guild Wars 2 has killed my interest in Diablo 3 altogether. It was a good story, but after you beat it, there is really no point in playing it anymore with your max level character.

I've never played it before, so I figure I'll pick it up when it drops in price below $20 or I get it in one of those buy 2 used games get 1 free deals.

Pfft, talk about a disappointment of a game. I'm happy it tied up loose ends from D2 but my god the game was boring as hell (note this is only having beaten core D3, I don't own nor will I buy Reaper of Souls). I was really hoping for some climactic fight in the end only to be disappointed with just how the game ended. Maybe it's because Demon Hunters are OP but I just found this game disappointingly easy.

Story was good though, I'll give it that but this just wasn't the Diablo game I was hoping for after how awesome D2 was. I guess that's what happens when you core Diablo designers leave and go create a much more superior game (the Torchlight series).

Demon Hunters are ultra OP... My barbarian would die so easily sometimes against bosses... but that damn acid knife throw the DH has just wrecked every boss' face with in 30 seconds or less... lol

The watered down skill tree was my biggest disappointment. I miss tinkering with the points of my strength, endurance, intelligence, etc.

Never did use the dagger, all about Rapid Fire and Sentries with homing rockets. Cut down most champions in seconds and most bosses in under a minute (could be faster but damn hatred runs out to damn fast with Rapid Fire (even with the decreased hatred use rune slotted in)). Was thinking of taking my Wizard up but I lost all interest in the game after that disappointing boss fight at the end. I was expecting so much more like I said.

That was one of my biggest disappointments as well. The skill tree was so intricate in D2 that is was fun tweaking shit just so you could get that extra bit a damage out of an ability (my Lightning Sorc was OP back in the day, sadly I never did get a chance to fully finish her gear set out and don't get my started on my Bone Nec. The things he could do still amaze me).

Hmmm. If the game ties up loose ends from Diablo 2, and I've never played it, would Diablo 3 be worth paying? Or would the plot be confusing as I skipped a game and I can't even remember how Diablo 1 ended?

Eh, you'd probably be wondering what the hell is going on but you can always go look up and read a summary of the plot for D2 if you want to play D3.

If there is one thing I despise about anime across all genres, its the damn "recap X.5" episode. Nothing makes me cringe more when I load up my funi app only to see this week is a waste of time for one of the shows I watch. I was really irritated that FMP had one after just 4 episodes, and Legend of Galactic Heroes has one this week. Seriously, what a waste of effort and time. Even if I missed episodes, I'd rather go back and see the whole ep rather that get caught up on some clips from it mashed in with everything I've already seen.
On another note, My Hero Academia was freaking amazing this week. Any ep where All Might fights is seriously some of the best content of the series.
And then Steins;Gate 0 just gut punched us in the feels this week with Okabe shortly going back to an alpha world line... oh the feels. The emotional level of this series is brutal. It's been a while since I've felt this much empathy for a character.

When I watched Tokyo Ghoul season 1 and 2 a few years ago, I thought it was the most over hyped pile of shit I've ever seen. Apparently it didn't follow the manga at all. I've been watching season 3 just because its a simuldub, and while I find it more entertaining, it's so disjointed from the first two seasons, it doesn't make any sense as a whole. Apparently they somewhat decided to start following the manga after skipping a few arcs? Apparently they announced season 4 and it's going to skip more between 3 and 4? What a train wreck... They might as well start over.

You could definitely tell this was the last E3 for this generation of consoles. Super small showcases for everyone this year. Next year's E3 will be back to the ultra hype reels for Sony and Microsoft unveiling the next consoles followed with the games that are being made for them. It will be an off year for Battlefield next year, but the first COD will be by C studio Sledgehammer, since MW4 will be the last COD this gen.

Absolutely gutted and devastated to hear of Anthony Bourdain's death, turned an already shitty day into an extremely shitty day. I would of said something earlier but I had to come to terms and sort out my own thoughts on this (and of course get through a 10 hour work day).
The world truly is a bit darker and a lot less interesting today with his loss. His passion, gift for storytelling, humanity, and all around awesome attitude were what drew me in when I first started watching A Cook's Tour (his first show) so many years ago and what cemented my love for this man during the run of No Reservations. Sadly I never did get around to watching Parts Unknown or The Layover but I can only imagine they were as good as the other two. This man truly had a gift for opening his heart and mind to people and their culture as well as getting them to open up as well.
RIP Mr. Bourdain, not only have you opened my eyes to new things, given me countless hours of enjoyment, and been an all around awesome person you've also inspired my love for travel (that one day I will hopefully get to do) and my love for other cultures. You will truly be missed and my heart goes out to your daughter and family in this extremely tragic moment. I can only hope you've finally found the peace that so eluded you in life.
